Life as a Nisse

As the sun set in the horizon you feel the sweat on your forehead and your wife as she is squeezing your hand. With your knees weak and arms heavy you try to pull yourself from the bed only to realize that you do not have the strength. Your time is coming and you know it. To early. So much work still to be done. In the final moments you reflect on the life you had. You survived a war, met your wife and started a family together then the famine came and you had to seek a new place to call home.  Home… this place really was home, after 20 years of cultivating the land, you started something great for your future generations.  But still... you can not find rest, so much of the daily tasks that needs to be done.

After your time passed you were still at the farm, confused at first but later found that your family could not handle the workload by themselves so you started helping them. One task at the time. You hid from them as they would not accept the fact that you still walked the earth.  

Generations have passed and you still tend to the farm.
